These photos are posted, courtesy of  Melanie and Joseph Previte, taken when a crowd of photographers descended upon the stage to capture the last part of this exhilarating evening at Carnegie Hall.

Note:  This first major solo-recital in 19 years was a benefit for the John Wayne Cancer Institute (ph: 310-315-6111), as Martha Argerich and her colleagues donated their time, receiving no payment for the momentous concert followed by the benefit-reception.
