This Flemish, low-pitch (A=415) single-manual, 2-8's and a 4 harpsichord
was first used by Tamara Robertson Loring and I'm the 2nd owner, as of
approximately 1981.
Unfortunately, I became more interested in piano music and have
let the harpsichord go unplayed for about 10 years. So it needs
work. Has a very fine bass sound when it's working. At this point
the shifting levers/guides have to be fixed before it's playable again.
Also, there is a crack in the soundboard to the right just behind
the plectra. The key action is good, however. Some strings are in
good shape while some are not, and the surface underneath can use a
good cleaning. The jacks used are Burton jacks, harder to find these
days.
It's dark blue, not decorated. I've added photos.
I'll ... be showing the harpsichord from 7pm until 8pm until it's sold.
